End Your Suffering With Gynecomastia Liposuction
Any guy unfortunate enough to have been cursed with fat deposits on his chest knows about the mental suffering associated with gynecomastia. The condition can easily destroy any mans self-confidence and self-esteem very quickly. It will also rob him of some of the most common activities, such as swimming and sunbathing. Due to this, many of the men who suffer with gynecomastia opt for one kind of treatment method or another to get rid of this horrible problem. Small cases of gynecomastia are quite often treated with liposuction. However, gynecomastia liposuction is not always the easy cure it is made out to be. This treatment has both disadvantages and advantages which I will describe in more detail below.
Quite possibly the biggest advantage of liposuction for gynecomastia is the time factor. You can rid yourself of excess chest fat in as little as a couple of short hours. You won’t have to guess if it will work, you won’t wait to see the effects, you get almost instant results. While exercising and hormonal treatments may mean many months of waiting patiently before results are seen, gynecomastia liposuction sucks the fat out so you can see almost immediate results.
That being said, gynecomastia liposuction has some disadvantages as well. The 1st disadvantage is that there is pain involved. The surgical procedure involves cutting into the skin and as you might imagine, some amount of pain is unavoidable. In the majority of cases, doctors recommend a recovery lasting from two to five days, depending on the amount of fat removed. If you live an active lifestyle, you will need to slow down for at least one week while you heal.
When men with severe cases of gynecomastia are surgically treated with liposuction, problems will sometimes come up. In many cases, there is scarring which requires a 2nd operation to repair. Even in cases where a 2nd operation is not necessary, obvious scars are often left.
Liposuction for gynecomastia can even cause uneven body contours in some cases. This happens because each side of the chest is treated separately. So, there is a fairly high chance of a small difference in the contours of each side.
Cost is another thing to be aware of. Gynecomastia liposuction can be expensive. The cost of just one surgery can range from two to four thousand dollars. And in those cases where a second surgery is necessary, the costs can be doubled. Unfortunately, in most cases these expenses are not covered by insurance plans unless the treating doctor can prove that the surgery is needed for medical reasons.
So, in closing gynecomastia liposuction can be both expensive as well as dangerous. And still, many men choose this treatment each year as a fast and effective solution to the curse of gynecomastia.
